I personally love planning picnics although nobody around me actually gets as hyped up given the fact that it's crazy hot here in Singapore all year round. But, there's just something better in taking your food out, displaying it all nicely and slowly chatting and munching away - a break from that mundane dinner table routine. I say it's time to take your picnic mats out even if it's at home (I'm aware it's winter in some countries but it rained on the day yesterday; the day of my picnic. And so we decided to lay the picnic mat on the floor and settle indoors instead and it actually wasn't too bad). So yes, get your picnic mats out no matter what the weather is that day and here's a guide on the foods you can bring to your little picnic.
- Beverage: Lemonade or Sangria/Mocktail or a Bottle of Wine (depending on how fancy you want it to get)
- Finger Food (Chicken Nuggets, Hotdog buns, Bacon-wrapped everything, Club Sandwiches) + Condiments
- Fruits of your choice (Mixed berries, Watermelon, Oranges)
- Assorted Cupcakes, Cake and Pastries
- Takeaway (Whether it's pizza or Chinese stir fry, takeaway is always the easiest since there's no prep time)
- Grapes & Cheese platter (if you're feeling a little fancier - definitely looks good on Instagram!)
