4 ingredient Crispy & Yummy Roast Potatoes

Okay, I do not cook very often - only on occasions like Thanksgiving or Christmas when I want a full fledged menu and everything to be perfect.

I love simple yet yummy food and this is one of them. Crispy potatoes but healthy since they're roasted.

Kinda like the usual roast potatoes you have at Thanksgiving, only with better seasoning and pretty healthy 'cos I used minimal oil and they still turned out sooo good! Here's the full recipe anyway! :)

To start off, the ingredients you'll need (yes, you read that right, just 4 ingredients):
  • 1 kilogram of baby potatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • Flour
  • Cayenne Pepper/Garam Masala
Preparation:
  1. Peel skin off the potatoes and place them in a steamer with salt and let it cook for half the time of what you would usually cook it for.  Preheat oven to 180 deg Celsius. Once steamed, take it out and place into a baking tray and slowly pour some olive oil around the tray, distributing it equally and trying to cover every piece.
  2. Now, generously sprinkle either the cayenne or the masala over the potatoes along with some flour, again hoping to get some on every piece.
  3. Place tray into oven and let it bake away for 15 minutes, take out flip potatoes over, sprinkle more flour and let it bake for another 10-20 minutes.
These turn out so yummy. The texture and taste are so yumz and best part of all, it was incredibly easy to make. I've tried both variations - cayenne and garam masala before and both turned out really good.
As we all know, cayenne is really good for raising metabolism so yay, indulgence with benefits.

Oh and here's a tip, consume these goodies quickly otherwise they do not taste as good anymore and are definitely not anywhere as yummy after two hours so do not bother carrying it forward for the next day's leftover lunch.
