Gingham is a yarn-dyed, plain weave cotton fabric and a type of plaid.
It has been spotted all over the runways during the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week 2014 at the Lincoln Center that just ended last week after numerous shows featuring different designers' newest collections for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2014 and Spring/Summer 2015. As I was tweeting, I was actually watching the show live from back home and it was my first time ever watching NYFW live, only because my term break just happened to occur at the same time this year. It truly is amazing to be watching fashion shows live, it kinda felt like I was suddenly transported into the world of Gossip Girl. But all that aside, seriously, gingham was definitely a trend on the runways!

I have to admit, it is pretty cute and with flannels being in all year round this year, I think an upgrade to gingham next year could be just the thing we need!
